Digital Product Strategy

Clear-eyed strategic direction for turning a business idea into a scoped, buildable digital product.

The problem

Ambitious ideas often stall because there's no clear, honest answer to what should be built first, for whom, and why.

Our approach

We work with founders and teams to turn a broad idea into a scoped product direction: what to build first, what to defer, and how it should evolve.

Typical deliverables

  • Problem and opportunity framing
  • Product scope and prioritization for a first build
  • Technical and design feasibility assessment
  • A roadmap for what comes after the first release
  • A shared reference document for stakeholders

Suitable for

  • Founders with an idea but no clear product scope yet
  • Businesses deciding whether and how to build something new
  • Teams that need outside perspective before committing resources

What’s included

A standard engagement for this service covers the following. Your proposal states the exact scope for your project.

  • Structured discovery sessions with you and the relevant stakeholders
  • Problem and opportunity framing
  • Scope definition and prioritisation for a first build
  • Technical and design feasibility assessment
  • A roadmap for what comes after the first release
  • A written reference document for stakeholder decision-making

Scoped separately

Often assumed to be included, but quoted as its own scope. We flag these before work starts, not during it.

  • Market research and competitor analysis at survey scale
  • Financial modelling, valuation, and investor materials
  • Design and development of the product itself, which is its own engagement
  • Ongoing advisory or fractional product leadership

Pricing

Custom project pricing

We do not publish a fixed price for this service, because the honest cost depends on what your project actually involves. You receive a written proposal with the price, scope, and payment schedule before you commit to anything, and no work begins until you approve it.

An estimated timeline is included in that proposal. It depends on the agreed scope and on how quickly feedback, content, and approvals come back — so we set it against your project rather than advertising a number that would not hold.

What determines the price

  • Breadth of the problem space being explored
  • Number of stakeholders who need to be aligned
  • Depth of technical feasibility work required
  • Whether the output feeds directly into a build engagement

How quoting, invoicing, and milestone payments work is set out in our Payment & Engagement Policy.
